3D printing really cost?

What determines the price
Process
FDM is economical for functional prototypes; SLA and DLP offer higher accuracy and surface quality but add resin and post-processing cost.
Material
Each material has its own price per gram or mL. The table uses each process’s default material.
Print settings
Lower layer heights and higher infill add print time and material, raising the price.

How is 3D printing price calculated?

Why is the estimate shown as a range?
Without a file we can't know how solid the part is or how much support it needs, so we calculate both a simple and a complex case. Upload a 3D file for an exact price based on the real geometry.
Is FDM or SLA cheaper?
For the same size, FDM is usually more economical. SLA and DLP add resin cost plus washing and curing, but suit small precise parts and smooth surfaces.
