Turnaround Guide

How long does
3D printing take?

After order confirmation we produce, inspect, and ship—you can typically receive parts in about 3–7 days. Timing varies by process, quantity, and finishing, and covers file review through delivery.

Quick answer

After the order is confirmed, production, inspection and shipping typically take 3–7 days on average. The lead time grows with the process chosen, fine layer settings, quantity, post-processing such as washing, curing or painting, and any file fixes that are needed.

What affects lead time

  • Print process: FDM / SLA / DLP differ in machine time and post-processing.
  • Layer height: Finer settings can lengthen print time.
  • Quantity: Repeating the same part changes total work time.
  • Finishing: Wash, cure, assembly, paint, and extras can extend lead time.
  • File condition: Fixes or extra review for model errors may add time.

Typical flow

Many jobs quote instantly, but complex geometry or revised quotes may get a separate lead-time note after admin review. WOW3D proceeds order confirmation → production → QC → shipping.

Lead time FAQ

How long does 3D printing usually take?

After the order is confirmed we produce, inspect and ship it, and most orders arrive within 3–7 days on average. Timing varies with the process (FDM, SLA, DLP), quantity and post-processing.

What makes the lead time longer?

Fine layer heights, larger quantities, extra post-processing such as washing, curing, assembly or painting, and files that need error fixes or a manual review all add print or work time.

Do complex parts follow the instant-quote timeline?

Typical models proceed on the instant-quote basis. Complex geometry or orders that need a revised quote are reviewed by our team, and we then confirm the lead time separately.

How can I shorten the lead time?

Lower the layer height only as far as your accuracy needs, choose only the post-processing you really need, and check your file for errors before uploading to avoid fix-and-review time. For tight deadlines, contact us in advance.
