Use Case · Logos & Signage
FDMA flat logo turned into a thick 3D piece stands out in a store, office or booth. A logo file (AI/SVG) or even an image is enough to create a 3D model and print it.
Quick answer
3D logos and nameplates are most often printed in FDM PLA for its colour range; use PETG or ABS outdoors and DLP resin for crisp badge-sized emblems. We recommend strokes of at least 1.5 mm (FDM), letters at least 10 mm tall and 2–5 mm of relief above the base, and you can start from just a logo image.

Outdoors with sun and temperature swings, PETG or ABS outlast PLA.
Badge or keyring-sized emblems get crisp edges in resin.
General tendencies on a 5-point scale. Real results depend on geometry, size and material.
Keep letter strokes at least 1.5mm thick (FDM) and letters at least 10mm tall.
Raise letters 2–5mm above the base plate so they cast a shadow and read well.
Multi-color logos look cleanest when each color is printed separately and assembled.
For wall mounting, design a recess for tape or screw holes on the back.
